


Our next open evening will be on Monday 9th January, 2012 at the Empress Hotel, Loch Promenade, Douglas (7.30pm - 9.00pm). The evening is open to all experiences over the age of 14 who have a keen interest in 'Acting for Television, Film and Theatre'.
During the course of the evening you will learn the differences between acting on stage to acting on screen, with disussions surrounding the Academy's future projects including the new 'IOM Actors Studio' (in association with the Academy) and local film news to how you can enrol on our workshops and courses beginning in January, 2012.
The Academy is now accepting registrations for our new 'Acting for Screen' course beginning on Thursday 12th January, 2012 (7.30pm - 9.30pm).

The success of the Academy's training has already seen students cast in featured film roles including: 'Rose Gold'. The film features Ciaran Griffiths (Shameless), Maxine Peake (various ITV & BBC dramas), Michelle Holmes (Coronation Street & Rita Sue & Bob too) and Paul Hurstfield.
The film 'Ashes' starring Ray Winstone and James Sturgess, due for release early 2012 and 'Betrayal' starring Lee Boardman.
William Ash, who currently stars in Waterloo Road, is well qualified to comment on the Academy's commitment to its students in preparing them for the industry; he said "As an actor you constantly need to be honing your skills. The IOM Acting Academy is the ideal place to help you to learn and grow as actors."
The Academy is proud to offer the RADA Shakespeare Certificate course to all Island residents in association with RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London). We are currently accepting registrations for our new 'RADA Shakespeare Certificate' course starting in January, 2012.
